I'm almost finished writing the sequel to SHEWOLF!! Woooohhoooooo!!!! I've tentatively titled it THE THORN KISS, but that could change in contract negotiation, assuming Ellora's cave buys it! I hope so, because you get to see one of Lyka's brothers in this one! More as the story unfolds....

New Year's Resolutions

My sister, Delilah, has her resolutions up so I thought I'd better get mine out there! Here goes my 2007 wish list (I mean goals):
#1 Sell at least one Single Title to a New York Publisher this year (two - stretch goal)
#2 Get smarter about promotion for my books
#3 Complete at least three 70K books
#4 Complete at least one Single Title
#5 Complete 6 novellas 10-25K
#6 Be more accessible to readers on line
#7 Post at least bi-weekly on my blog
#8 Spend more time with family
#9 Learn more about website optimization and sales online
#10 Add one more course to Rose's Colored Glasses online list
I met most of my resolutions last year, except losing weight. You see it's not on the list? What are your 2007 goals? ~ MJ

Back from New Zealand and Australia!

There's no place like home! I love going other places, because it makes me appreciate my own home and my own bed! I'm back from 3 weeks touring the Land Down Under and the Kiwi capitol of the world. Both countries were wonderful and the people terrific! Driving on the other side of the road was crazy, but we managed, although I don't recommend learning to drive on the other side of the road in downtown Sydney. Auckland, maybe. Sydney? Uh, no. Let's see, I had wonderful fun in the sun at a beautifual coastal town of Coolangatta in Queensland Australia and lovely look at Sydney by train, ferry and bus and two weeks by car on the North and South Islands of New Zealand. We went whale watching (I got seasick), touched a glacier and saw a real live Kiwi (the bird, not just the people). It was fun and I met with Shelley Munro and Jean Drew, Kiwis and fellow authors. But now, back to work! I'm going to try to get a Naughty Nuptial written by the end of the month between two books I have to revise and edit. Ack! I'll load pics when I can navigate through the changes Blogger has made with Google!

New Zealand and my book is out!

Hi all! I'm in New Zealand and having serious withdrawals from internet access. We've been on the road nearly every day trying to see as much of this beautiful country as possible. Would love to have had full access to internet the entire time, alas, I haven't! I just went out to the Ellora's Cave site and there it was! WITCH'S CURSE is out! Yay! I loved this story and hope to spin off others from it. I love the setting in Hell's Kitchen NYC and the Angel of Death is to die for (yes the pun was intended). Hope you all love it. I'm on NZ South Island today and tomorrow we will be in Wellington on the North Island for New Year's Eve. Won't be home until Jan 6th. Have a helluva Happy New Year! I'll post pics later!

Australia & New Zealand & Witch's Curse!

I leave for Australia tomorrow. My husband, daughter and I will be a week in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand over the Christmas and New Years timeframe. I'll drop in when I can to fill you in on my wonderful trip! And don't forget Witch's Curse comes out on Dec 29th. It's a great read to bring in the New Year! Check it out!

Controversial Wild Wild Women of the West Cover

Check out the cover for the anthology with authors Delilah Devlin, Myla Jackson (Me) and Layla Chase! They soooo got it wrong. This is fun group of stories about women of the wild OLD WEST. We're talking in the 1800's not the 2000's! Would love to hear your comments.

My release date on Sex, Lies & Vampire Hunters is February 21st! I almost had Valentines Day. Sniff, but oh well. You'll love this one and it's a start of a series entitled NIGHT SHIFT. Next on my plate is the sequel to Shewolf. I haven't decided which brother yet, but he'll be absolutely yummy and it'll be kick-ass and fun! More on Werewolves in Memphis as the plot thickens.

I sold two more books to Ellora's Cave. Witch's Curse is a Wild Winter Quickie that will release of 12/29/2006 - It's based on New Year's Eve so that works out just grand! The cover will look like this one with my name and Witch's Curse in the Title space. He's a hot one, huh?
