Wild Weekend Retreat

Sunrise at the Crescent Hotel
Had a fabulous weekend with writer friends in Northwest Arkansas. Night one, we spent at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, where we ate a fabulous 5-course meal, then took a ghost tour of the hotel. Creepy fun for all, ending up in the bowels of the building that at one time had been a morgue.

We attended the Ozark Creative Writing Conference where we were excited to get to hear David Morrell speak about his journey to NYT bestseller with RAMBO and more. He was entertaining and his life-story was inspiring.

Friday and Saturday night we spent at the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in guest cabins. What a fabulous treat! They are doing some amazing things at the refuge taking care of some amazing animals, mostly big cats--Lions, Tigers, Bears, Cougars, Leopards, Bobcats, Servals. See the video my friend Shayla Kersten made of feeding time with one of the white tigers Zeus.
